So far since Heather & I were married on Sanibel Island, Florida on December 30th, 2002, we’ve grown from a family of 2, to a family of 4 (5, if you count Oakley, the dog). We have been part of 2 separate ministries in Montana, full of people (now friends) that have challenged us, encouraged us, prepared us and ultimately discipled us along the way. We just need to thank everybody that helped us along the way, youth workers, babysitters, counselors, prayer and financial supporters...everything! One day, I came home from work at SHEC (Missoula, MT) and randomly told Heather that I felt we are supposed to leave. She said she had known for about a week. Alright. I still didn’t really want to leave, so I kept trying to do everything, but it was quickly obvious that God was moving us, but where? Oklahoma? Florida? So, my thought was to put our house up for sale and if it sold in a month or so, then God was in it and we would move. Our house sold the day it went on the market, for asking price! Alright?!...now what? We had just a couple weeks to pack up and get out. (click here for fun video). Things started opening up for us to come to Florida and so here we go. After we had been in Florida for a couple months, Heather asked, “How long do you think we’ll be here?” We both agreed that it had been good to be around family again, but we knew there was something else that we were supposed to be doing, especially after Heather’s grandpa died. A couple months came and went, then as we were sitting in our church service, Brad’s heart started beating fast and he felt God was asking to sell or give everything away and move overseas. Later that day...we had logged into YWAM’s website, looked through job opportunities all over the world, but our hearts connected with a list of ministries offered by a base in Argentina. The YWAM base - Bariloche, in the Patagonia region is a fairly new ministry start-up and is in need of staff to have an even more effective ministry to that part of South America.
